Supplier - Creating a Quote

When an RFQ is submitted to you through the Buy & Sell module, you receive notification that an RFQ from the buyer is awaiting attention. The notification is by email or fax, depending on the notification method selected in your Member Profile.

After logging in and going to the Buy & Sell module main page (Your Buy & Sell module):

  1. On the Buy & Sell module main page, click the link under RFQs. This opens the RFQ/Quote Worksheet.

    - OR -

    Click Request for Quote on the navigation bar to go to the Request for Quote page, and click the link to open the RFQ/Quote Worksheet.

  2. Enter your quote information for each RFQ line item.

    - OR -

    Click the No Bid This Line Item checkbox, if applicable.

  3. Click the SUBMIT QUOTES button.
    You are returned to the Request for Quote page, where the RFQ's status is Quoted.

Notification is sent to the buyer (by their selected notification method -- email or fax) that a quote from you is awaiting attention.

Note: An entry is made in the Documents area of your calendar (My Calendar on the navigation bar) when you submit a quote. You can click the calendar entry to open the RFQ/Quote Worksheet.
