Supplier - Confirming/Declining a PO
When a PO is submitted, you receive notification that a PO from the buyer is awaiting attention. The notification is by email or fax, depending on the notification method selected in your Member Profile.
You need to review and confirm the PO. Confirmation of a PO represents your commitment to follow through with the transaction as specified on the PO.
Note: You can also choose to decline the PO, or to open a discussion about the PO with the buyer.
After logging in to the FTZ and going to the Buy & Sell main page (Your Marketplace):
On the Marketplace main page, click the link under Purchase
Orders to open the PO.
- OR -
Click Purchase Orders on the navigation bar to go to the Purchase Order page. Then click
the link to open the PO.
Review all information on the PO page.
To confirm the PO, click the CONFIRM button.
You are returned to the Purchase Order page, where the PO status displays as
Confirmed.
- OR -
To decline the PO, click the DECLINE button.
You are returned to the Purchase Order page, where the PO status displays as
Declined.
Note: Instead of confirming or declining a PO, you can click the DISCUSSION button to open a discussion about the PO with the buyer. For details, see Discussing a PO.
