What is the PartMiner Free Trade Zone?
The PartMiner Free Trade Zone is a suite of integrated online services that address design and procurement tasks relating to electronic components. This includes part research and selection at design time, finding parts, buying parts.
What software is required to use the site?
All you need is an Internet browser on your desktop. No other software is required. The system has been tested with Netscape Navigator version 6.x and later and Microsoft Internet Explorer version 5.x and later.
Who owns the PartMiner Free Trade Zone?
The PartMiner Free Trade Zone is owned and operated by PartMiner, Inc., an independent company. The PartMiner Free Trade Zone's goal is to provide a neutral venue that facilitates the negotiation and purchase of electronic components.
Is my account information published?
Supplier account information is made available to registered users on the site so that buyers can easily contact new sources of product. A buyer's account information is only shared with the suppliers he or she selects as preferred suppliers under the 'My Suppliers' function. These are the suppliers that the buyer may select to issue RFQs and/or purchase orders. The PartMiner Free Trade Zone may use member registration information to send information or marketing messages to members (members can opt out of this), but it will not release any account information to third parties without a member's express permission unless the law requires it to do so (see the PartMiner Free Trade Zone's Privacy Policy).
Is my transaction information published?
Your transaction information is never revealed to any third party. The transaction data in an RFQs, quotes, negotiations, purchase orders, and PO confirmations is a private exchange. (see Privacy Policy).
Will anyone use my pricing information?
We consider your pricing information 100% private; this is a fundamental issue addressed by our Privacy Policy. To that end, we have engaged Ernst & Young to perform a technical audit of the PartMiner Free Trade Zone to ensure that your pricing information and business-partnership information are kept confidential. It is not used by PartMiner Direct and is not made available to any party outside the PartMiner Free Trade Zone except the parties with whom you are explicitly communicating. |
