Part Number Search Results

The Search Results page lists parts found by your search criteria. The number of devices is shown at the top. Use the NEXT and PREVIOUS buttons if the list fills multiple pages.

For definitions of Status in the results, see Definitions - Device Status

Actions from Part Number Search Results

Actions available from the search results are discussed below.

Note: The actions discussed below apply if the results are for parts with parameters entered in the database. See Datasheet Reference Content Parts for information on parts without parametric data.

View the Manufacturer Profile (Contact Information)

Click the manufacturer name link.

View Documents for a Part

(Note: Manufacturer documents for parts are provided in PDF format. To view PDF files, you need a copy of Adobe Acrobat Reader. Acrobat Reader is free and can be obtained by clicking the Acrobat Reader icon on the page to go to the download Web site (www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep.html).

Click the icon in the Data Sheet column or Other Docs (subscription feature) column.. Depending on your selection, you will be taken directly to the current datasheet or to a listing of available "Other Docs:"

  • Data Sheet List - Lists all data sheet revisions, from the same manufacturer, for the part and related/similar parts.
  • PCN and EOL Documents - Lists all PCN and EOL notices associated with the part.
Compare Parts (Subscription only)

Click the checkbox for each part you want to compare. Then click the COMPARE button. Parts are shown side-by-side, with differences in parametric values highlighted for easy comparison.
  • For the following semiconductor categories , numeric values used to determine upgrades/downgrades are displayed as "better" or "worse." Text values are displayed as "different.":
    • Operational Amplifiers
    • Logic categories (gates, flip-flops, buffers/drivers, counters, latches, etc.)
    • Memory categories (DRAM, SRAM, EE/EPROM, etc.)
    • Complex PLDs
    • Voltage Regulators
  • For the other categories, parametric differences are displayed as "different".
  • For printing tips, see Printing the Side-by-Side Display.

View Part Details (Subscription only - Single-Part Display)

Click the part number link. The single-part display shows all parameters for the selected part.

Note: From the single-part display, you can access several options, such as data sheets and other documents, replacements and pinout and package information (Semiconductors only). See Part Details (Single-Part Display).

Request a Price Quote from Selected Suppliers

Click the CREATE RFQ button.

A Buy & Sell module RFQ/Quote Worksheet is displayed. For information on filling out this form, see RFQ Procedure, starting with step 3.

After you have submitted an RFQ, you can access it in the Request for Quote area of the Marketplace.

Datasheet Reference Content Parts

For some parts in the Semiconductors database, parametric data is not available. In that case, the following actions can be performed from the search results.

  • View the Data Sheet - Click the data sheet icon.
  • View the Manufacturer Profile (Contact Information) - Click the manufacturer name link.
  • View available Manufacturer Suggested Cross-Reference parts - Click the icon in this column that will be displayed only when there are parts to link to.
  • Check Current Price and Availability - Click the icon in the Price & Availability column.
