Free Electronic Component Data:

PartMiner Releases Newly Enhanced CAPS™ Connect™ 9.0

Centennial, CO – September 27, 2011 –

PartMiner WorldWide Inc. just announced new enhancements to one of the component data management tools within their proprietary CAPS™ (Computer Assisted Product Selection) database, the leading source of technical and parametric data for the electronic components market.

The newest version of PartMiner’s bill of materials (BoM) management tool, CAPS Connect 9.0, is now supported by Microsoft® Windows 7. It features an improved user interface with a new design that offers customizable color schemes, allowing engineers and designers to more easily find and organize the information they need. The system’s query speed has also been improved, which helps to decrease the time they spend managing their component data.

CAPS Connect 9.0 delivers advanced reporting abilities as well, now supported by newer versions of Microsoft® Excel. All canned default reports are built into the installation process so users no longer need to install their own data files, and reports have been updated to maximize the utilization of CAPS data. New reports that have been added include REACH and Low-Halogen materials information, market pricing and availability, discontinued and replacement parts, and life-cycle risk.

Michael Thompson, Vice President of Worldwide CAPS Sales, said that CAPS Connect 9.0 is “just something that our customers deserve. We always strive to help our customers do their jobs more quickly and efficiently, and the latest version of Connect is a testament to our commitment to that goal.”
